Describe the economies of the north, south and western states. How were they different?
In the North, the economy was based on industry and commerce which led to cities and immigration. In the South, the economy was based on agriculture especially it relied on plantation farming. The soil was fertile and good for farming. They grew crops like cotton, rice, and tobacco on small farms and large plantations. The West experienced an influx of investment and economic development.
