President Kennedy chose the naval blockade of Cuba also known as a quarantine. The president took the decision to quarantine Cuba so that he could find a non passive but also non aggressive remedy to the issue of the Cuban missile crisis. I opine that it was the right decision, since it proved that the US was concerned about the whole issue, but did not want to engage in a direct war. Although the US had a strong navy to engage Cuba, Kennedy believed the decision he had made would place a burden on Khruschchev to decide the next move. The decision was a strong course of action that built and preserved the general public's confidence in government.
