The same challenge that journalists faced in the Soweto uprising can also be experienced even in present times in some countires. some of the countries that limit Media freedom include:

The government Censors media content for political and to control the populace.

The government has expanded laws and regulations tightening control over internet infrastructure, online content, and privacy of communications.
