What problems did the British government face at the conclusion of the French and Indian war In 1763. How would these problems influence how the British dealt with their American colonies after 1763?
The British had incurred a lot of expenses in maintaining the army for protection and loss of revenue through smuggling and corruption which led to huge national debt, the national debt had nearly doubled during the course of the war. The British would allow the American colonies to govern themselves, therefore collected taxes on their own and did not depend on Britain for funding but still had allegiance for Britain.
