How Germany found out about the Holocaust
The Holocaust involved the mass killing of Jews which began in 1941 within the Soviet Union. However, the Germans knew about it through some police reports captured by British intelligence, who was an eyewitness. He had escaped the mass murder during his reporting mission to the soviet (Özyürek, E. (2018). Moreover, a Hungarian officer had witnessed the Holocaust during his leave, and his observations were reported. Their reports included the methods used to attack the Jews, the number to be murdered, and the targeted areas. Luckily the information reached neutral and allied leaders.
