If these historical events that we had during the Spaniards occupying the Philippines didn't happen in the first place, do you think that the Philippines would not be as it is today?

If the historical events that happened during the Spaniards occupying the Philippines did not occur in the first place, the Philippines would not be as it is today. Before the Spaniards introduced new ways of living, education, religion, and governance, there was a good culture and administration among Filipinos through the culture of China, India, and southeastern Asia (Casanova, 2019). They enjoyed a way of life that was satisfactory to them. However, when Spaniards came to their land, Filipinos were forced to adapt to new ways, including new religions. They lacked any voice and were denied the right positions in government. The country still struggles today with issues of democracy.
