Explain the impact the US entry into WW2 had on US industry.
Before the United States entered into World War II, the economy was struggling as many people were jobless due to the great depression. When the United States entered the war, there was a demand for weapons and food by men taking part in the war. This resulted in the retooling of the industries and an increase in job opportunities in the industry. Women started working in industries and took over job positions that were considered for men in the assembly lines. This was particularly because the men were fighting in the war. Companies in existence also changed their lines to manufacture war products from the manufacture of consumer goods. New industries strictly dedicated to the manufacture of war products were established.
