Similarities Between Daoism And Confucianism

They are the top religions in Ancient China, where they both originated before the common era. Both Daoism and Confucianism are not the only way of living but also a way of life. They are based on the five critical relationships of the Ancient Chinese society that is the ruler. The subject, younger and older siblings, friend and friend, and father and son. long before either philosophy, they both shared same customs concerning universe, society and man. Both Daoism and Confucianism started a philosophy that had teachings on religious cultures. Both of them served as guides, thus leading china through its vast history where they both started in china (D'Ambrosio, 2020). Both the Daoism and Confucianism were in search of harmony and peace in their ways of life. The center of philosophy for both is Tao. In addition, both the Daoism and Confucianism had some common principles and life goals in support of their self-improvement and self-cultivation to contribute to society. They both incorporated some religious practices with daily activities that pertained to philosophy and religion, making the secular sacred. They both shared a cosmogony borrowed from Buddhism .both Confucianism and Daoism teach about one rightful place in society and family; also, in both religions, they exhibited respect for what they taught. However, they both invented solutions to the chaos that emerged due to the Zhou Dynasty's fall.
