I believe that America had a responsibility to lend weapons to Britain because for the sake of her safety and global security. The Lend-Lease Act allowed America to give out weapons, instead of selling them, if the nation felt that doing so would aid in her defense. since America did not want to engage in World War II, the only choice that remained was to supply weapons to the nations that were fighting Hitler and his allies.
