As the plantation systems grew, there was a high demand for labor, which led to slavery. There was the transportation of many African slaves to the Caribbean islands and mainland South and North America. Therefore, the process caused disunity in the Caribbean.

One way of ending slavery is through the abolition of the slave trade. Through legislation and support of anti-slavery organizations, there was the eradication of any form of slavery. Thus, promoting love, unity, and tolerance in the Caribbean.
