Battles on Great Lakes
Great Lakes, also known as the Inland Seas of North America, were the major stations for many maritime operations. Britain and the united states, were the two countries who set base on the Great Lakes; water provided the best ,means through which these countries could not only transport but also supply land forces. additionally, supply was made easier as the lakes provided a convenient route which the British and Americans took advantage of. The battles that took place in these regions was mostly to win the advantageous strategic positions that the lakes offered.
