Back in the year 1800, the status of women was against the current constitution. In this case, the constitution makes each individual to be equal regardless of their gender. However, in the 1800s, women sphere of interest was based at their homes and families. Additionally, a married woman never had the right to own any property, keep their own wages or be involved in signing any contract. They were also not allowed to vote or participate in any political position of their choice.
