The early Harappan Civilization was associated with the Indus Valley and contained several cities that occupied modern day Pakistan and Afghanistan. The cities thrived in around 2600 BCE. One reason the cities thrived was because there was relative peace in the region. The Ganges River and the Indus Valley are two of the most outstanding features of Harappan early civilization.
