I agree, since the conflict between the Europeans and Caribs escalated continuously after the colonial dispensation that the Europeans established. This scenario began after the landfall of Columbus. The rivalry did not emanate from the aspects of slavery and fight for liberty as seen in Africans. However, the Caribbean people began the anti-colonial struggle to alleviate the new orders that they were being directed to follow by the European colonists. The antagonism increased as Caribs try to gain back the leadership of their territory.
