The acquisition had a negative impact on the Jews living in the Spanish kingdom,. the primary issue was that they were forced to convert to Christianity or be expelled out of the Kingdom. Social freedom was not allowed among the Jews. Almost half of the Jews converted to Christianity while half were expelled.
