Emily Davison was a British public activist, suffragist. She was an activist of the British suffragist organization "Women's Social and Political Union". She protested against forced feeding that was applied to prisoned women during their starvation protests. Emily Davison died during the English Derby in 1913, when she ran to the stadium to meet a horse, owned by King George V. She was hit by the horse and died of injuries.
