World war one which started in Europe brought many changes in the society especially when it comes to gender roles. Men took part in the fight to defend their allies but they face challanges leaving women and children unprotected. British women face these challenges for quit period of time and it forced them to execute task performed by men. At the end of war British women were entitled to vote, and enjoy other rights previously enjoyed by men. Women also become the breadwinners of the family since many men had lost their lives during the war.
