The sleeping and rest time of an infant depends on their age. For example, the average daily sleep of a three months baby is about 16 hours, six months - 14 hours, and 9 months baby usually sleeps 13 hours. Between 3 and 6 months, babies become more active: they give sounds, stare at different things and hold toys. After such activities they usually become tired, so the best way is to give them some rest. The caregivers are more dominant in nighttime treatment, they take part in putting infants to sleep and in soothing them during the night. During the rest time, they amuse the infants with the attempts to play and laugh.
