a)    A formative assessment allows a teacher to gather feedback from the students and develop new teaching and learning techniques for the students.

b)    It allows the teachers to know the progress of the students

c)    It also allows the teacher to know whether their teaching methods are effective.

d)    Through formative assessment, students are able to recheck their learning goals and objectives and continue aiming for them. 

3.2

Assessment of learning is same as formative assessment whereby the teacher observes and notes what students can actually do while assessment for learning is done by the teacher to note areas where they can improve their teaching.
