The story has a village setting which is of a remote nature and with unique geographic features. The story line is set during the ancient days when the whites began to come to Africa ,when Africans were still bond by their own traditions and after and after Africans became civilized . The story's setting contributes to the events in the story in that readers are given the day to day activities of the village life, the physical features found in the village, the social conditions of the villagers, their beliefs and cultures. The story also presents a different world when Africans became civilized and started using technology.
