Can technology make it easy for you as a teacher to teach and assess a multigrade class?
The questions below requires of you to be innovative and apply the ICT knowledge and skills.
Assessment in a multi-grade class (more than one grade in one class) differs from that in a
normal class (single grade). Given the above, design an assessment activity in which you will
be assessing two different grades from the same phase that are in one class using the same
subject and topic. Your assessment should indicate the following:
1 Indicate the two grades, subject, and topic
2 The type and form of assessment used
3 Indicate the purpose of assessment per grade according to CAPS document.
4 Justify, how will you ensure that the assessment is credible and fair to learners in both
grades?
5 How will you take into account the three learning styles (haptic, visual, and auditory)
when assessing the learners?
6.What is the expected end product of the assessment activity?

grades?
