Answer to Question #195241 in English for Makaia Hill

Question #195241

From the book, Into The Wild, Chris McCandless learned leather working from Ron Franz (Chap. 6) and created a belt, which symbolized his life, his year on the road, and his plans for the future. For this assignment, you will create your own Bio Belt. Draw pictures/use images to represent the most memorable moments (both good and bad) that you would want to put on your own hand-tooled belt. You can draw this and take a photo of it and upload the picture to Canvas. Include a single paragraph describing your belt and the events that happened in your life that have shaped who you are today and your future plans.

Chris McCandless is living a Transcendental lifestyle

McCandless lives a very peaceful life on his journey and lets everything that occurs be unexpected. Transcendental beliefs indicate that a peaceful worry free life should be lived to truly enjoy nature and the world around us.

The author tells us that Chris highlighted the following paragraph from the book Dr Zhivago, perhaps illustrating what he learned: "And so it turned out that only a life similar to the life of those around us, merging with it without a ripple, is genuine life, and that an unshared happiness in not happiness.

Ultimate freedom… No longer to be poisoned by civilization, he flees, and walks alone upon the land to become Lost in the Wild.” Alaska was everything he had ever dreamed of. McCandless finds an abandoned bus out in the tundra and makes it his home, hunts like a caveman and lives off the land.
