Hello, I have to write a cover letter to join an English class in my future high school in France for the 9th year, and I would like to know if this one was good and what I could add

precision on the class:

It's a class that allows me to do 2 more hours in English but also one hour of biology in English in addition, to access it I need good results during my years in college, but also a good motivation letter.

I am currently studying in the ninth grade of (College name) and I would like to apply for the European section class for the second year.

As you can see from my report card, I am a very serious worker and would be extremely grateful for the opportunity to improve my skills. 

 Furthermore, not knowing English is a major disadvantage in the professional field, as I would like to have an excellent level of international language, in view of my future scientific studies where English is indispensable especially for my professional life, possibly abroad.

Yes, what you wrote is just commendable. It gives an opportunity for the relevant people to know you better. They understand your weakness which is that you are not so good in English language. This gives them an opportunity of giving an extra attention to it. I don't think there is any other thing that you could have added there.
