Fable is a short story typicall with animals as characters conveying the moral. Folk tale a story originating in popular culture which normally passed by a word of mouth. Legends are stories in oral tradition and narrative of human action. For example The Big foot. Myth is a traditional story concerning the history of people which explains the social phenomenon and they involve super natural beings.
