Jesus prepared His Apostles by leaving them with the Holy Spirit to help them withstand opposition and persecutions. Jesus also prepared His disciples by teaching them how to work together (English Standard Version Bible, 2001, Acts 10:34). Jesus prepared His disciples by giving them confidence in the power of God’s word. After the ascension of Jesus the apostles continued to preach as He did despite the challenges they encountered (English Standard Version Bible, 2001, Acts 6:4). Jesus also prepared His disciples by teaching them how to be obedient. Everything that Jesus did He did in obedience to the father in the power of the Holy Spirit and that is what His disciples reflected when they gave His name honor after performing miracles (English Standard Version Bible, 2001, Acts 5:41-42).

The way Jesus prepared His disciples is a reference to the Christians today who want to continue preaching the gospel of Christ.
