Critique about the story ‘The voice of the Mountain.’

The “Voice of the Mountain” is about a hungry old creature by the name Popocatepetl. Popocatepetl was very huge and was not allowed to move around the earth for fear of creating holes. Besides, he was not allowed to move in search of food. This situation compels him to ask for help from the eagle and the little creature. The little animal promises to help Popocatepetl but does not fulfill the promise. Instead, he betrays Popocatepetl. 

It is very unmindful for the ‘King of All’ to forbid Popocatepetl from moving around the earth searching for food. As much as the reasoning of the enormous creature creating holes in the earth is logical, it does not satisfy letting Popocatepetl go hungry. Moreover, the deeds of the little animal did not correspond to the good words spoken about him by the eagle. It is not always the case that someone spoken well of does as said in our day-to-day life. Such a person can decide to show an individual disappointment despite much trust in place.
