Prior to my articulation to the university, I was eager and happy at the same time. This was because of the transition I was to experience from A level to undergraduate level of study. I literally underrated how much I would learn and how much I would change as a person because of the occurrence’s I would be subjected to.

On part of academics the Lectures were quite different from A levels since I would just use my laptop to do assignments but I really adapted to the routine. Consequently, learning was circulated in all perspectives in the university, apart from academics I had a lot that I learnt in the Campus and in the city. Subsequently being an introvert, I had challenges with self-acquaintance with new people and also adopting to new way of living. Gradually I was able to phase the socialization challenges out and I could confidently make new friends and have interactive encounters with all kind of people. (Alderman, L., Towers, S. & Bannah, S.))

Accordingly, I also learnt to be independent in terms of cooking and washing my own clothes, the concepts which were foreign to me before. Conversely the first semester I would really got drunk because of the alcohol culture ingrained to me during fresher’s week. In addition, this in culminated to many night outs in clubs which would results to horrific hangover. Meanwhile I would be in clubs’ crawls with various groups I affiliated to after traipsing through the fresher’s affair. As a result, the university life has enabled me to develop and enhance my aptitudes and self-esteem, rather than focusing on my limitations, University has actually showed my strengths to handle the difficulties in my life. (Awang, M., Kutty, F. & Ahmad, A.)

Furthermore, my classes were overwhelming because my favourite classes were English and History because of how the professors would teach them well. I learnt and improved my skills of writing papers. Though I was not so good in English at my A levels, at the university I had experienced immense improvement especially in the field of poetry. (Gibney, A.,Moore, N., Murphy, F. & O'Suullivan, S.)

Of equal importance, in spite the fact that the fresher’s night instilled some vices in me, this did not prevent me from realizing myself that I was a staunch Christian since I was raised in a Christianity family. This made me to affiliate myself with Christianity groups in the university where I made new friends again. Gradually I was able to have new friends who loved Jesus and it actually helped to grow my faith since they drew me closer to Jesus which eventually assisted me to grow in faith. (Leese)

To sum up from perspective of sharing a dorm at high school and the idea of having a small room with a roommate brought all kind of excitement and came with brand new adventures encounters and ignitions to start something new like dating. Dating in the university being the first semester posed some challenges because it was difficult to balance between academics and dating relationships. Relationships and everything they entail they are of equal importance since they develop a sense of relating socially with others and in the society after school.
