Process writing is a method that gives the student and the teacher an opportunity to practice how a text is produced together. The process approach follows four different phases in text production, and these are prewriting, writing, revising, and editing. This method is key to academic writing as each of the four stages allows the writer to produce a short, clear, focused, and a text backed up by evidence. For example, the prewriting stage enables the student to be creative when searching for the topic they wish to write. On the other hand, it encourages teamwork when in group work and keeps the student focused on the main objective. This is important when producing academic writings that are expected to be concise, clear and supported by facts
