Archaeological analysis is the process of identifying, examining, classifying, and describing cultural material remains such as artifacts and ecofacts to make meaningful inferences. Examples: Invertebrate analysis and faunal analysis. Similarly, genealogical analysis challenges traditional practices of history, philosophical assumptions and established conceptions of knowledge, truth and power. Example: Nietzsche's genealogical analysis of the origins and meanings of our different moral concepts.
