How would the ways in which we address the following statement change if the education systems in this country in particular but also throughout the world were GCE based (involved curriculum, career development, and civic engagement components all geared towards creating global citizens who are actively involved in solving major global challenges and creating a peaceful, sustainable world)?
STATEMENT: America must maintain the strongest military in the world in order to be prepared for any threats both to our homeland and / or to our interests abroad which are really all peoples’ interests!

If education systems were based on the GCE system, the above statement would be addressed in ways that help the participants to become active, peaceful, and responsible global citizens. Learners would be empowered to assume active roles in their daily lives such that the military would be made up of individuals who have the ability to resolve global threats while contributing to a charitable, peaceful, an all-inclusive, and more secure world.
