The narrative voice tells us the life of a lampshade vendor with a flea circus, the descriptions of the environment are short and well accurate with a lack of sensations it seems like the voices is a movie camera until the last paragraph:

"From time to time I tried to explain to people why I bought the lampshade. After a while, I moved the lamp next to my bed and shut the bedroom door."

In my opinion every paragraph has some of enigmatic here is not clear if the narrative voice is dreaming or even if the reality is mixed to the fiction.
