Answer to Question #78769 in Other English for Jolie
Today, people are used to seeing robots in their everyday life and not many of us are able to realize that. In a local grocery store, in your pockets, at the restaurant, they are everywhere. Take for example Jibo - a personal assistant that is capable of making short conversations, tell the weather and even search for information on request. He smiles, makes extremely fluid moves, he feels as if he a real human. However, what it lacks is, will to do something on his own.
Indeed, in spite of all of these technological advancements, these mechanical marvels do not have their own mind and cannot express their own opinions. Unlike humans, robots do not know how to think as all of them follow a specific logic crafted by their respective developers. In addition, they do not feel any kind of emotions. Although there have been attempts to recreate the above-mentioned functions, they all ended-up being imitated at best.
All in all, robots are great and have proven to be helpful in many different situations. Yet, they lack emotions, will to do something on their own, and most importantly, they do not have their own opinion and that’s what makes them different from a human being.
