Emotive language is a word choice that are meant to trigger emotional feeling or reaction on an individual. Life saving qualifies to be  emotive language since it directly expresses a solution to a desperate condition. The move from such a condition sparks an emotion of joy to an individual. it is therefore an emotive language.  A reader develops emotional reaction when such a word is used in a case of a difficult or tensed situation in the novel.
