As a safety officer, the most crucial job is to ensure the safety and security of employees and properties in a workplace.  Therefore, the first thing to do is to understand the magnitude or extent of risk upon the company and to also ensure that other security personnel are adequately trained and equipped. As a safety officer, I will ensure that all employees are educated on the security and safety plans of the company as such promoting a sense of responsibility in case of an emergency situation. Finally, I will ensure that the company is sufficiently equipped with security systems such as CCTV’s, alarms, and fire detectors. Through these CCTV’s, there is effective control and monitoring of all activities happening in the company and in case of a break-in or robbery the Police will be alerted immediately.
