“You can’t add apples and oranges.” Is an idiom used to refer to the apparent differences between things that are popularly known thought to be incomparable. In economics it is difficult to measure the national income due to lack an appropriate unit of measurement. No physical unit can be used to measure the millions of different types of goods . it is therefore impossible to add apples and oranges
