Social Media (SM) has been an effective and very much active platform in terms of users raising their voices against any injustice or global incident, they feel like expressing on. There are huge number of communities who are active in initiating online protest campaigns for spreading the concern all over the digital landscape.

So, it must be admitted that the impact of SM on the constitutional right to freedom of expression is quite big and positive from the viewpoint that every common man can address their opinion on a certain issue freely without any such serious consequences.

Also, sometimes when any particular issue related to any injustice done, becomes viral, then the concerned authorities are bound to take action against it, to silence these protests and stay safe from accusations and public pressure. The option or means to address concerned authorities for expressing anything about something has also impacted the right to freedom of expression in a big way.

As social media continues to evolve gradually, it might venture into giving more opportunities and scope to express freely whatever they like to, of course within the limits of law.
