Section 4 (6) and 4 (7) of the PIE act protects the rights of unlawful land occupiers in a bid to ensure that their eviction is carried out in a manner that is consistent with constitutional values. The stipulated requirements must be met before an order of eviction is issued to avoid the denial of the right to adequate housing as stipulated in the constitution.
