Urbanization on the African continent brings not only benefits but certain drawbacks, especially affecting poor people or people living in rural areas. For example, even though they have more opportunities for work from home, the competition is strong and the qualification required for that is high. Urbanization brings a lot of qualified workers in the regions, so, the less qualified workers may lose jobs. The real estate prices grow, thus, less people can afford to buy a house. Service delivery (depends on the service, of course) becomes better but still may be unavailable to the poor or living in rural areas.
