Most often, development in any field leads to development of human rights. Previously, it was normal to have slaves, or people with almost zero rights. Economical development made people who were previously slaves think that they may not remain slaves anymore and be free. Later, these people started campaigns against slavery, which is another development in human rights. Eventually, the development of the quick ways to transmit information (radio, TV, Internet) led humanity think that human rights are the basic rights that all people have.
