The location of the Tropic of Capricorn depends on the tilt of the earth's axis of rotation. Therefore, if we continued calling this latitude the tropic of Capricorn, but the angle between the plane of earth's orbit and the axis of rotation was different, this part of our planet would receive less heat because the sun would not be in zenith anymore.
