According to Trisler(2021) and Auguste Comte (1798 – 1857) they identified 2 major areas that Sociology should concentrate on called social statistics and social dynamics
(i) Analyze the significance of these 2 major areas
(ii) Sociologists consider stratification on many levels ranging from its impacts on the individuals to the world wide patterns of inequality. Describe social stratification and mention three (3) levels
1. The social statistics is about the present structure of a given society. It is important because it studies the current rules, laws and present condition of a society. It is observed as how the present social laws affect the society. Social dynamics is significant as it is concerned with how the processes of social changes are taking place and how they affect a society.
2. Stratification refers to the presence of social groups ranked one the other based on prestige, power and wealth that the members own. The levels include upper social stratum, middle social stratum and lower social stratum.
