The claim that non-formal institutions have no role in the processing stage of systems theory is a load of nonsense. This is true because systems theory identifies processes by looking at system connections and interdependence and taking into consideration the nature of open systems that interact with their environment. Non-formal institutions play an important role in the processing stage of a systems theory since they are also involved in forming a complex whole.
