Mozambique and South Africa adore cordial and warm bilateral relations. Since 1992 the two states created trade missions on a mutual basis, and on 11 October 1993, their relations were advanced to complete diplomatic status. Therefore, the bilateral relationships were raised to Presidential glassy by the ratification of the treaty on the formation of the Bi-National Commission (BNC).

Economic Benefits- Mining activities have created jobs for both people from South Africa and Mozambique. Trade has advanced between the two states. Mother companies from either state have invested in each other effectively and efficiently.

Social Benefits- The relationships between the two states have promoted good social interactions leading to intermarriages, sports and games, and entertainment.

Political Benefits- The relationships between the two states have promoted diplomacy.
