Question #37326
Hello my question is why light is more reflected on the edges of water drop curved corners of the plastic sheet and metal. Is this because corner or edges are thiner and less denser similar to the leaves on the edges of trees in the sunlight are brighter because they are less dense.I hope you understood my question.thanks

Plastic, metals often have a surface with a good reflection power as water. It means, that reflection is specular: according to the law of reflection the angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection and the majority of the light energy is reflected in some specific direction. There are a wide set of directions on the edges and among them one always find such a direction that the light of the Sun is reflected exactly to the eye of observer.
