If a body changes direction for a short time and then again travels with constant velocity then how we will calculate acceleration as we know that when direction changes acceleration is produced ??

We will calculate acceleration by the formula
a=v^2/R,
where v is the velocity and R is instantaneous radius of curvature of trajectory.
