When buying a home entertainment system, a consumer may prefer to purchase them directly from the manufacturers instead of buying from a retailer. However, this purchase would have different benefits and limitations. One of the benefits of a direct purchase is that it is time-saving. A consumer eliminates the time taken to travel to a retailer to make the purchase (Mafé & Blas, 2007). Additionally, the consumer saves on the price of making the purchase. However, one limitation of a direct purchase is the problems of home delivery as some areas might be complicated (Mafé & Blas, 2007). Additionally, there will be no visual stimulation as a consumer will not be able to touch the products. Moreover, there might be delays in delivery.
