Answer to Question #82773 in Other Management for jyoti

Question #82773
The disability manager, Helene, is constantly asking you to increase her budget. You have explained to her on a number of occasions that the board has officially adopted the budget. What will you do if her request begins to take up too much of your time?
Expert's answer

The disability manager does not trust my report as she does believe that I forwarded her request to the relevant authority. Therefore, I would use different finance executives from the top management to advise her that each company operates on a stipulated budget. Helene should be made to understand that once a financial plan has been adopted, it is difficult to make some adjustments until the fiscal year elapses. I would also advise her that although her department is crucial, her request would only be reviewed in the next financial year when a new budget is reviewed. By doing so, I would avoid her frequent requests that take much of my time and make her know that I value her department too.
