(c)  Prevent repeat victimisation by advising and guiding individuals to maintain a preventative lifestyle, and by creating awareness among the public of the risks of crime. (d) Reduce the psychological trauma victims experience by providing emotional support and practical assistance, either immediately or shortly after the incident.
