French and Indian War or The Seven Years' War, 1754–63. The Conflict was the North American battle in greater imperial combat between France and Great Britain acknowledged as the Seven Years' War. The French and Indian War started in 1754. The war ended with the authorization of the accords of Paris and Hubertusburg in February 1763. Based on the Treaty of Paris, France lost all entitlements to Canada, surrendered Louisiana to Spain. In contrast, Britain was offered Upper Canada, Spanish Florida, and numerous French assets in foreign countries.

The fighting happened mainly along the frontlines between the British and New France colonies, from Newfoundland in the north to Virginia in the south. The Conflict benefited Great Britain huge regional gains in North America. However, continued clashes over succeeding frontline policy and repaying the warfare's expenditures led to colonial dissatisfaction, and in the end, to the American Revolution.
