Jim crow era was government and local laws and regulations that legalized racial segregation in the united states. The Jim crow rules existed for about 100 years were established to marginalize African Americans by denying them crucial needs, rights, and freedoms such as employment opportunities, education, the right to participate in the election, and other political activity. Nevertheless, the jim crow era was able to exist for a long because all the stronghold legal system positions were held by white American and confederate soldiers such as police and judges, ensuring that black Americans were subjected to black codes and preventing them from getting justice for racial inequality and discrimination. However, the law intimidated African Americans from seeking justice hence any attempt to disobey the rules would face rest, violence, charge, jail sentence, and cessation.
